Antique Teal Glass Gravity Hummingbird Feeder

[Collected via promotion.] I have loved the look of this feeder for years! It is not painted glass so it doesn’t degrade and peel like another feeder I had. The mouth is reasonably wide so I can get a bottle brush inside for cleaning. It has six soft pink flower ports which are perfect. The base has a perch surrounding it and the port section sits nicely in a channel of the bottom section so no leaking!

The only problem I have had is that over time the base cracks from stress of screwing the pieces together. I have replaced the base once - although, as I recall, that was a special privilege given me one time as bases are not normally sold as replacement parts (it is the bottom cup part only, not the feeder port cap). I need to replace this second base as it has now cracked. For the time being I am using the original base repaired with duct tape, as the crack was in the bottom and I can apply duct tape in the outside. Thank goodness I kept the old base! The crack in the second base is in the threaded collar so I cannot glue or tape it as that would contaminate the nectar.

Hi, is this actual blue blown glass or is it a film/glaze that is teal? I don’t want something that potentially flake off into the feeder. Thanks.
