Ruby Visions Antique Glass Gravity Hummingbird Feeder

[Collected via promotion.] I loved the look of this feeder. It appeared to have all the features I look for: wide mouth and reasonable bottle depth for easy cleaning; a perch for the hummers; and plenty of soft ports. I would have preferred pink or red ports, but solved that issue by switching half the ports with my other feeder.

The truth is this feeder leaks profusely! There is no channel for the port section if the base to ‘seal’ with the bottom cup portion. Any movement - lifting, carrying, tipping from a breeze caused the nectar to pour out. It’s a waste of nectar and attracts unwanted insects to the feeder. I returned this feeder to Menards and will continue my search.

filled it about 3/4 full. it leaks. yes the temperature is in the upper 80s. I guess I can move to the north pole and see if it will work better in a colder climate. course there are no hummingbirds there.
Perhaps an O ring is needed?

on the flip side, it does look nice. perhaps it can be used as a target for target practice?

Nice looking feeder but has a leaking problem.

Ordered this from a big box store and put it out today. Hummers have visited it several times, but I noticed it is leaking in between the top and bottom lid. Poor design as there is no seal or anything to keep it from spilling.
