We've been using this attached to the shepherd's crook from which our feeder is suspended. It has prevented the tree rats from reaching the feeder when installed a sufficient distance below but the screws which secure the mount to the pole depend on a flimsy plastic anchorage with three "ears" one of which has broken. I have made a temporary repair, which works for now, but I will devise a more permanent solution before it fails.
